With experience and beautiful goals, Karim Benzema has been leading the way for Real Madrid as it continues to impress under coach Santiago Solari. Benzema has been key since Solari took over from the fired Julen Lopetegui two weeks ago and revamped Madrid. The veteran French striker scored four goals in the four victories under Solari, helping the team get back on track in the Spanish league and in the Champions League.

Former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has claimed he wants to wait until June before returning to management while addressing the possibility of taking over at Real Madrid. The 49-year-old has been out of work since leaving Stamford Bridge during the summer, after winning the Premier League and the FA Cup during his two-year stint in England. The ex-Blues boss had been lined up to replace Julen Lopetgeui at Santiago Bernabeu, but for the time being Santiago Solari has been installed as manager on an interim basis.

Former Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal is a difficult man to work with, according to one-time Argentina defender Martin Demichelis. The 67-year-old coach was in charge of Bayern Munich between 2009 and 2011, managing to guide the club to a domestic double and a Champions League final during his first year. Demichelis was part of that squad and he looks back on that season fondly, describing Van Gaal as a "great manager", however, he also admits that the two men failed to see eye to eye on more than one occasion.

Dani Alves says “it is not possible” that he will bring the curtain down on his illustrious career without taking in a spell in the Premier League. The Brazilian full-back has come close to making a switch in the past, with Chelsea having sought to acquire his services during Jose Mourinho’s first spell at Stamford Bridge. Pep Guardiola then attempted to put a reunion in place with his former Barcelona charge at Manchester City in the summer of 2017, only to see Alves head to Paris Saint-Germain.

Eden Hazard has “always enjoyed” his time at Chelsea and is “happy at to play at the moment” as transfer talk continues to rage around him. The Belgium international offered several hints over the summer that his future lies away from Stamford Bridge. The Blancos would be happy to take him to the Santiago Bernabeu, but Hazard has suggested that any exit thoughts have been shelved for now in west London.
